Many scholars contend that Western perspectives dominate the field of adult learning. A heavy reliance on Western perspectives alone may, however, marginalize other systems of learning and knowing. This week you will explore other systems of learning and knowing in order to expand your awareness of and sensitivity to the great variety of approaches to adult education that exist in the world.

For this Assignment, consider what you learned as you participated in this week’s Discussion. Then respond to the following questions:

• How do your perspectives and beliefs as an adult educator compare with those of Confucian and other cultures, as presented in this week’s Learning Resources?
