Begin by choosing a setting in which you currently work with adult learners (If you do not
currently work with adult learners, choose the setting you wish to be working in) and something
you want to teach (choose something relevant to being an ECE leader and something that will
not take more than one-hour of “live” lesson time. Next, choose an instructional model (ADDIE,
SAM, Agile, Rapid Content, Backward Design, etc.) and at least two instructional strategies you
want to incorporate into the lesson. Considering the lesson content and your design model, create
a short lesson on something you are likely to teach as an ECE leader. For example, you may
want to teach a group of your staff something about incorporating more STEAM-related
activities into the classroom or maybe you want to teach on Piaget to a group of community
college students. Your choice- it is highly recommended that you choose something of interest to
you and also something you can really use at some point. Tipif you have a staff meeting
coming up where you might have the opportunity to present, this would be a great way to prepare
and practice.
For the purpose of this assignment, you will create a lesson (see above), but do not have to
implement it. This lesson does not have to be extensive, but next week you will create learning
