Part 2: CITI CertificationIf you have not yet completed the Collaborative Institutions Training Initiative (CITI) course and certifications, you must complete them now.
Note: Document the time it took you to complete the CITI certification in TK20 by entering a new activity under Time Logs.
All doctoral students must take an online human subjects training course. To access the course, register with the CITI website:
Access the CITI website.
Click the Register button.
Type University of Phoenix in the Select Your Organization Affiliation area.
Read the terms and, if you accept them, agree to the terms.
Complete the required information fields.
Register for SBR (Basic): Social/Behavioral Research Investigator and Key Personnel.
Finalize your CITI registration.
- Complete the Social/Behavioral Research Basic modules available under the University of Phoenix Courses header located in the Main Menu.
Save all certificates of completion on your local hard drive and provide a copy of the certificate to your faculty member.
- Note: To pass the course, you must complete all 9 required modules and achieve an average score of at least 80% on all quizzes.
Share your CITI Certificate with the UOPX IRB Office, following the directions located in the “Forms and Templates” library: GUIDANCE – Sharing CITI Certification with UOPX IRB.
Note: You can build (add files, delete files) and even “share” projects among IRBNet users, but DO NOT “submit” a project unless it is ready for review. QRM approval is required prior to submitting for IRB review.
Part 3: Ethical ConsiderationsCreate a detailed list of: - Ethical questions or concerns that may be relevant to your proposed project; remember to include issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion that may impact your study.
