For effective delivery of healthcare services, healthcare professionals from different professions need to collaborate. For example, nurse informaticists can collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and pharmacists (Ngo et al., 2022). I have witnessed these professionals collaborating in various practices during healthcare service delivery. In this case, nurse informaticists record patient health information on various electronic devices and relay them to the physicians. Then the physicians use the information to determine the patient’s diagnosis and send a prescription list to the pharmacists (Gergerich et al., 2019). The pharmacists then dispense the prescribed medication to the patient.

A Strategy of how the Interaction can be improved

The interaction among nurse informaticists, physicians, and pharmacists can be improved in different ways. However, one of them involves educating these professionals on the importance of effective communication during the interaction. Effective communication is among the best aspects of promoting interprofessional collaboration (Schubert et al., 2022).

Impact of Continued Evolution of Nursing Informatics

Nursing informatics will have significant impacts on healthcare as the procession advances. The advancement of the profession is brought about by advancing levels of technology (Schubert et al., 2022). Therefore, the more nursing informatics advances, the more other professionals develop informatics skills leading to efficient use of technologies. This will enhance communication and interaction among interprofessional team members.

Emerging medical information, such as assessing data, implementing patient care, and educating the medical team through information technology, is essential ( Menkiena, 2021). Also, as nurse informaticists with the perception of utilizing information technology in the healthcare entity, millions of medical teams or specialists have become more efficient in producing clinical judgment promptly, which has brought more increase to the safety of patient care (Menkiena, 2021).

Description of nurse informaticists with other specialists 

          Being involved with other healthcare professionals as nurse informaticists brings tremendous changes not only to the increase of patient care but also to open the minds of nurses and healthcare professionals to communicating with each and collaborating ideas that will generate results whenever needed (Carroll, 2019). For example, when EPIC was introduced to our unit, nurse informaticists worked with a few doctors who needed to immediately send out medical prescriptions for patients on discharge (Carroll, 2019). In addition, nurses’ informatics could transform these data and collaborate with other information technology, such as pharmacist informatics, where this information is developed and transferred to doctors promptly (Carroll, 2019). Furthermore, due to these transfers, nurse informatics could install the process to a healthcare professional daily, allowing them to process clinical judgments to benefit patent care (Carroll, 2019).

                                                  Strategies for improved interactions

Developing strategies to improve continuous interactions between nurse informaticists and healthcare specialists is essential (Kwiatkoski, 2021). Moreover, as nurse informatics, one must establish continued educational sessions and communication regularly where development, clinical judgment, and care plans are planned and on time (Kwiatkoski, 2021). For example, in my unit, we have nurse informaticists who work on the floor with nurses and doctors to collaborate with information technology on applying patients’ data, including labs, medical prescriptions, allergies, images, and other information technology. Through these typical collaboration strategies, healthcare professionals get more comfortable processing data without stress and on time (Kwiatkoski, 2021).

Impact of the continued evolution of nursing informatics

              The continuous process of nursing informatics brings tremendous changes to patient care (Sipes, 2019). Moreover, the benefits of continuous evolution include effective patient care, such as eliminating medical errors to a lower level, increasing communication promptly among healthcare professionals, producing nursing care on time, and most of the coordination of data information between specialists (Sipes, 2019). For example, lab results, medical prescriptions, and most patient care plans have been submitted promptly with the help of effective information technology communicated using nursing informatics (Sipes, 2019).


         Nursing informatics has brought significant changes within the health care organization. There has been fluent and prompt communication with health care professionals in the delivery of patient care (Sipes, 2019).  Furthermore, medical errors have been reduced, care plans are reported on time, and most of the clinal judgments are established promptly (Sipes, 2019).
