Before you begin, I have to ensure that you know the defintion of “superlative”: in simple terms, it is an “est” word like “happiest” or “proudest”; it can also use “most” if an “est” cannot be added, like “most exciting” or “most dreaded.”
This journal is going to allow you to practice your narrative skills as you tell me a story! Reflect on your life and make a mental list of your “superlative” moments. What is your most embarrassing or most frightening moment? What is your craziest experience? When have you been happiest or proudest? What is your most exciting or most enlightening moment? You get the gist–pick and “est”/”most” moment/experience and share it with me. Tell me the story of that moment. As you tell your tale, remember that I was not there, so let me “feel” it, too. Hopefully, the journal reminds you of something you haven’t considered for quite some time; worst case scenario–you have finished yet another journal!
