Estimated time to complete: 5 hours

To properly implement change, a manager needs to have a toolkit for staff to use in order to help with the transition. When staff is trained and provided with the tools required for success, the change can run more smoothly and chances of long-term success are greater.

Instructions: After reading the unit articles and watching the unit videos, complete the following:

  • Choose three of the strategies or tools discussed and create a training toolkit presentation for the staff to use during the implementation of the EMR. The toolkit should include:
  1. Three strategies for the staff to use during implementation. Each strategy should include: A summary, examples, and ideas for the staff to apply for individual roles during change implementation (recall the roles created in Unit 5 for each staff member in the scenario) and recommendations for use of the strategy, specific to the EMR implementation
  2. Steps outlined for staff as to how/when to apply strategies during implementation
  • Create a PowerPoint presentation of the information in this assessment. The presentation should be a minimum of 10 slides, not including the title slide and the reference slide. The presentation needs to utilize speaker’s notes or recorded notes on each slide and should have a minimum of 5 references, formatted in APA style.
