When promoting an employee within a company, the management must look at the employees’ performance evaluations throughout their work history. What are the employees’ work ethic and integrity, and how well do they work with others? What has the employee done to enhance the effectiveness of their work and the impact on the team? Employees with a positive attitude can prioritize and meet deadlines and show leadership qualities through mentoring others. Based on the position considered for promotion, does the employee have all the necessary skills and abilities to perform? Next, look at when the employee was last promoted; if the employee has never been promoted into a new position, this would profoundly affect how the employee views the company’s value. The selected person will also evoke a sense of pride and encourage others. In addition, it makes the employee excited and increases productivity.
